Live Music from Purple Umbrella
On 25th April, we’re excited to welcome Purple Umbrella to The Star for the very first time. This hugely popular live band are known for their infectious energy, fantastic musicianship and a setlist packed with crowd-pleasing favourites.
Expect a brilliant atmosphere and a mix of well-known hits that will have you singing along and getting up to dance.

THE TED OWEN CHARITY TROPHY
Join us for the 2nd Annual Charity Darts Competition, held in loving memory of a truly special man, Ted Owen. This event is a chance for us to celebrate Ted’s life and legacy, while supporting charities close to his and his family’s heart. The entry fee is £5 but you’re welcome to donate more if you wish.
The competition will be a round-the-board knockout, with each match played best of three legs. To sign up, simply visit the bar and pay your entry fee before the competition begins.
This event is open to The Star darts players past and present as well as locals and all friends of Ted.
If you’re not up for playing, don’t worry — you’re still more than welcome to join us, support the players, and enjoy the fun as we come together to honour Ted.

We’re proud to have 2 darts teams in the Grappenhall & District Darts League, playing every Monday night. It’s Round the Board in the winter months and classic 501 during the summer—so there’s always a great match on.
